Women’s Service League receives $10,000 award

Wenatchee’s Mendoza Insurance Services has awarded $10,000 to the Women’s Service League of North Central Washington.

WSL is a local organization that is dedicating to encouraging a sense of community and empowerment through women and volunteer action. The $10,000 donation will be directed towards funding the increased cost of advertising, rental units of supplies, storage space for the My Girlfriend’s Closet project and more.

Thanks to a successful submission through Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance’s 2023 Make More Happen Awards, Mendoza Insurance owner Erica Mendoza received $5,000 for WSL. A website feature on the story led to Mendoza Insurance Services earning the opportunity to raise another $5,000 through a local awareness campaign for the nonprofit.
